British Virgin Islands Taxi Rates
You will always
find an available taxi on any island in the BVI ... at least on any
island with roads! Taxi rates are government regulated and not metered,
but calculated on distance. The following rate schedule has been in
effect since 1990. Unfortunately, few drivers
are honouring these rates any longer and there seems to have been a
very long delay in publishing the new rates. (I have been asking for
the new rates for at least 6 months!)

supply current information if the government doesn't make it available!

Additional Charges
& Special Additions:
- Children under
10 years of age shall not be charged more than 1/2 fare.
- Each passenger
shall be permitted 2 pieces of luggage free of charge.
- For each piece
of luggage in excess of 2 per passenger, a fee of $.50 may be charged.
